John 9:1-7
As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this
man or his parents, that he was born blind?"
"Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God
might be displayed in his life. As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is
coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world."
Having said this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man's eyes.
"Go," he told him, "wash in the Pool of Siloam" (this word means Sent). So the man went and
washed, and came home seeing.

"Whose Hands are These?"
Whose hands are these that touch my eyes?
So filled with love, without compromise.
For a life so dark and filled with pain...
One has none to lose, but only to gain!
Mud made of spittle he formed from the ground.
This miracle from heaven my eyes have now found!
The Light of the world has come to my aid,
darkness and shadows won’t make me afraid!
Joy in my heart, he has made my life new!
My need for a Savior was long overdue.
So many I know, still walk in the night...
Although they have eyes they still have no sight.
“Lord Jesus, dear Savior, you hear their cries...
Send them your Light, put mud in their eyes!”
O’ Light of the world you’ve enlightened my heart...
I know now forever we’ll never depart!
